Crooked Brook Forest Group
February 2016
Playground Planning and Busy Bee
An early February Friday evening saw the Crooked Brook Forest group meet at their picnic shelter for a social BBQ and busy bee planning session.
The long anticipated playground was discussed and plans made for who would bring and do what. The balmy evening closed after much happy chat and laughing. This is a happy group!
The Saturday (6th February 2016) following dawned upon a number of the group rising early loading up their utes, cars and trucks and heading back to the picnic area. Some collected logs, while Lionel and Brian picked up the wonderful huge log-mobile.
As it was a warm day, work started early and finished before midday. Midway there was the obligatory morning tea.
A visit to the forest will show you what has been done so far. More is to come. In the hot summer weather this project will be completed incrementally, bit by bit. Crooked Brook Forest Foreman Rob expressed his satisfaction on the morning’s work and we hope that you will enjoy going to the forest just that bit more with this added infrastructure.
Peter Robinson, Chairman CBFA.
The Association is always keen to welcome new members.
